Fiction and other categories-Teresa Spring

The fiction section is comprised of story books, easy chapter books fiction chapter books, and story collections.
 Other categories include:
All nonfiction books with Dewey classification number, reference materials, North Carolina collection and non print material including videos, CD's, DVD's.

All classified materials will be assigned call numbers and spine label which will be assigned as follows:

All story books and easy chapter books, as designated by cataloger, will use "E" (for "Everybody Books") plus the first three letters of the author's last name.

All fiction chapter books, as designated by the cataloger, will use "F" plus the first three letters of the author's last name.

All story collections will use "SC" plus the first three letters of the author’s last name.
Example:

All nonfiction books will use the appropriate Dewey classification number carried out to no more than two places to the right of the decimal plus the first three letters of the author's last name.
Example:

All books designated Reference will use "REF" listed above the assigned call number on the spine label.
Example:

 Mil
All books designated by the cataloguer to be of specific relevance to North Carolina will use "NC" Listed above the assigned call number on the spine label.

All videos processed will use "VHS" above the appropriate call number.

All CD's processed will use "CD" above the appropriate call number.
